How Soaking in Hot Springs With 15 Women Healed My Sister Wound

Preview

I wasn’t always a hot springs hippie, sitting happily with her tits out without a care in the world. It’s been a years-long journey of self acceptance, trust in others, and prayers to the waters. But now? I’m all about helping others take the plunge (literally) into the blissful freedom of wild hot springs.

In July I hosted my first official hot springs retreat in Oregon at some of my favorite healing waters — where I got to see 15 women come together to heal in hot springs. It was life-changing for me to experience, and I’ve heard from every other woman who attended that it was for them as well.

This was more than just a memory made though, this sisterhood has lasted for months now. Weaving into each other’s lives, integrating the lessons and wishes that came forth from the retreat, and now… creating this opportunity for more women to commune in thermal waters.

That’s why I created the October Honing Into Healing Retreat with Matalyn. She attended the July retreat and I was amazed at how she held sisters through playful times but also moments of vulnerability.

To me, Matalyn is such a powerful expression of the divine feminine. Her flowing blue highlights are so fitting because she really is a mermaid. I love how she creates content that is authentic and artistic, and I’m thrilled to have her as the co-host and content queen for this retreat.

Since we get to host a retreat together now, I thought I’d share more about her experience at the July hot springs retreat.

Healing the Sisterhood Wound - Musings from Matalyn

Feeling in relation to the alignment that sisters feel. The mystery of murky waters when we put our head under and the rush of fresh breath and air we come up to connect to when we allow ourselves to connect to the world of above.

There is soul much mystery in being a wombman. I feel that a lot of the time it can be soul confusing or unreliable to society. We are told and grown to be silent when bleeding to go away into our rooms and shut the bathroom dispose of it. When as wild wombman it’s practiced to give back to the land in ceremony. As we are one with Mother Earth we are the mothers that walk this earth. This initiation and confirmation of sisters is the beauty we aspire to activate in each other.

In the waters together, we celebrated the elements, ourselves, and sisterhood

One of my favorite tap ins was the opening ceremony of introduction with cacao. The first night of grounding in together and speaking into our creative abilities our stories. Learning each other and falling in love with each women as she opens up herself into being seen and received.

Another amazing moment was the leisurely hike on the way over and each women discovering their wildness and representing the path they desire to activate. Each little conversation that popped out in the forest on the way to the soak.

Once in the hot spring it was speaking into our highest desires soaking in the magic abundant minerals of nourishment we were receiving along the journey.

There is much I want to tap into in regards to self but I want to take a moment to bring into light Tara and how even after the space she held in the first retreat she continued to integrate afterwards in such an organic way. She took time to hold the deep sappy thread of the sisters together afterwards. She truly connected sister together and that is far more more impactful than just this day retreat. We are experiencing something soul healing together which can bring out soul many desires and manifestations that we weren’t even aware were reachable.

As for for me, I am a createtress and guardian fairy of the forests. I work with the everything entity that is for me. My desires are creating a safe space for beings to feel activated in their highest excitement. Nothing is too far away from you. Honestly, like if you were thinking it… then how on earth is it not in your capabilities?! The greatest we can be for each other is a space to say fuck yes, ou lala!

Soul driven in this life to be an upliftment for each other in a healing and nourishing way. My desires for this October retreat is to continue to build community and sisterhood. To dive into that true mystery all women want to tap into self. To say we have the ability to do this for ourselves yes of course and are attracting the people and things that hold the initiation we are continuing to bring into our lives. This ceremony we walk through is soul deep and so lightly lala all at once. Sat Nam
