SOL DUC SIREN CAMPOUT
June 19–21 | Public Land by the Sol Duc River, Olympic Peninsula

I’ve traveled to waters across the world, soaking in the ever-giving hot springs and the surrounding scenery. I’ve seen so much beauty, but there’s something special about the Olympic Peninsula.

Living by Port Townsend for nearly a year now, I’ve missed the wild hot springs that I usually call home. So, I started soaking at Sol Duc.

Though the pools are concrete & public, the waters are potent with mineral medicine. And, you are surrounded by lush forests so close to waterfalls and the dreamiest campsites.

☀️THE SOLSTICE PORTAL ☀️

We gather on the threshold of the longest day the Summer Solstice, when the sun is at its peak. It's a time of fire, fullness, and release. A time to burn what no longer serves and shine. We couldn't think of a more potent time to be in ceremony by these ancient waters.

THE WEEKEND:

Friday, June 19 | Arrive & Drop In | 6pm
Settle into the land. Meet your sisters. Let the river sounds dissolve whatever you carried in.

Saturday, June 20 | Full Day of Medicine
• Cold plunge session together ~ feel the fire within when you meet the cold
• Potluck feast ~ nourish each other (bring a dish to share! A main vegan option and fresh fruit will be provided)
• Fire ceremony ~ let something burn that no longer serves you
• Crafts ~ make something with your hands, something to carry into summer
• Teaching on road life & camping ~ experience camping on public land and learn about how to live nomadically

Sunday, June 21 — Rise & Soak
On the morning of the Solstice, we rise early and head together to Sol Duc Hot Springs. We let the mineral waters restore what has been spent. We carry the medicine home.

~ hot springs entrance included with ticket ~

WHAT TO BRING:
• All camping gear (tent/vehicle, sleeping bag, pad, warm layers)
• Swimsuit & towel for the hot springs + cold plunge
• A dish to share at the potluck
• A wild, open heart

FOR: women ready to slow down, sink in, and be together in nature
Location shared upon RSVP (spot on river with 20 minute drive to Sol Duc Hot Spring)

The Quileute people have called this land home for 9,000 years, and their name Sol Duc means "sparkling waters.” This gathering is for those looking to connect deeper with the land and sparkling waters here, but also to dive into sisterhood medicine.

ABOUT SOL DUC HOT SPRINGS & GETTING THERE

The first photo featured is by Rebecca Ross taken at the summer Bagby Hot Springs gathering, and the other photos show the Sol Duc campsite area where we will stay for two magical nights.

If you want to get an idea of what the Sol Duc soaking is like, this Reel on my page shows what one of the two concrete pools are like: https://www.instagram.com/p/DXQcedwiP4E/

Note that this is a public hot springs and we were very lucky to have a pool to ourselves during this soak time. Typically the water is: 107 degrees in one concrete pool, about 103° in the other, there’s a 99° wading pool and a large cold river-fed swimming pool. Our time soaking ultimately is for YOU, so take time while we’re soaking to thank the waters, ask for what you need, and socialize when you feel.

I’ll make sure everyone stays hydrated and happy! And, I’ll walk us through some practices I do in the water to connect and heal.

Since we will be soaking early on a Sunday, it’s likely that it won’t get as busy as other times. But summer tourism can be unpredictable, and with it being a vibrant solstice weekend, we will need to be flexible with our soak times. It’s rare for such an early soak time to fill up, but if it did, we would reserve the next soak time and enjoy nearby waterfall trails and old growth forest.

When you purchase your ticket I will be in direct contact to send you the campout pin near the hot spring along with a detail video walking you through the area on the map.

The campsite will be by the Sol Duc River on public land. You do not need any passes or special vehicles to use the road since it’s mostly paved and only has a few potholes to look out for.

I have full service on the Forest Road and at the campsite with Verizon, but others have had no service. Usually there is no cell service OR wifi at Sol Duc Hot Springs, but it is located in Olympic National Park so there are many signs to get you to the Lodge where the springs are at.
